What To Wear: To A Folk Gig
The band is in full swing, the crowd is into it and sweet tunes are filling the air. But all you can think about how hot it is in that knit and the fact that your feet are killing you. There's nothing worse than being uncomfortable during a gig, so leave the bustier at home and choose no-fuss outfits for max comfort with minimum effort.
One of our favourite folk artists Laura Marling begins her Australia + New Zealand tour this week (grab yourself some tix here if you haven't already), so if you're running low on outfit ideas, we've got your back.
We're talking t-shirt dresses, crops with culottes and pants, cute co-ords - or reach for a romper to cut down on thinking time pre-gig. Try bohemian lace, quirky prints or a punchy palette to literally stand out from the crowd. Light layers are your best friend too - think vests, trenches or that neverfail denim jacket.
Oh, and your mum was right when it comes to sensible shoes (in this case) - easy loafers, sandals or boots are the only things you'll. Add a brimmed hat if it's an outside affair and you'll be the comfiest kid out.
