Lifestyle: The Struggle
If you attended a Melbourne Cup event yesterday - or have previously - you will know that it is a seriously long day of standing, drinking and (typically) not very much eating. Chances are you're probably feeling a bit sore today.We certainly are. It's okay. You're supposed to get caught up in the excitement. Not to mention if you actually had a win. What better excuse to keep right on treating yourself to those espresso martinis? Worst of all, we don't even have the weekend to recover. It's right on back to the daily grind. Time to rally. Purchase multiple beverages, keep the painkillers at arms length and make it through by planning in detail exactly which delicious, carb-y foods you will eat through out the day and in which order they will best be enjoyed.
If you're still reading this then congratulations! You made it. Finally time to head home and slip into something more comfortable.
