Interview: Savislook Talks Her Collab With C/MEO COLLECTIVE
When two become one.
Tastemaker + influencer Savi of Savislook has collaborated with C/MEO Collective to release a capsule collection that is elevated, contemporary and 100% essential. Comprised of eight bespoke pieces, it combines a refined and subtle prints with the tailored cuts the international brand is known for.
We sat down with Savi during her visit to Australia to chat the collaboration, working with C/MEO head designer Siham Elmawey + her perfect wardrobe.
BNKR: You've been working with C/MEO COLLECTIVE family for quite some time! Can you tell us how the collaboration came about?
Savi: I've been wearing C/MEO since the beginning of my blog - I always love the design, quality and colours. When C/MEO reached out to me, I naturally said YES! I'm very grateful for this opportunity - looking forward to the feedback from my followers and C/MEO girls.
What did you love about working with C/MEO head designer Siham?
Siham is easygoing and energetic ... it was so inspiring working with her.
What's your favourite piece from the capsule?
The blue blazer and trousers - the fabric fits all seasons, plus the colour is very refreshing and goes well with all skin tones.
How did you get started blogging?
I was obsessed with YouTube videos while in college - fashion, outfits and make-up were my main interest. My boyfriend was a camera fan, so we started taking outfit photos and got a little bit of attentions. After graduation, I started my YouTube channel and it grew quickly. My interest in fashion and make-up was the biggest supportive force all along.
Where would you wear the pieces?
The whole collection is very wearable and versatile, so it fits almost all occasions - you can wear the blazer to meetings or pair it with jeans to brunch, the dresses to cocktails and dinners or the square-neck top to weekend outings.
What are your favourite trends this season?
Power suits and pastel colours.
You traveled to Australia to work on the collaboration - what else did you get up to while you were here?
I caught up with old friend in Sydney, did a bit of shopping around the city. I also went to Adelaide for the first time; it was a peaceful and chill city with amazing food. I had my first meet and greet in the BNKR store - it was such a great experience.
My style is...
Effortless, classic and vintage-inspired.
Where do you look for style inspiration?
Everywhere: Instagram, vintage shops, magazines, museums, streets, posters.
Best tip for bloggers just getting started?
My perfect wardrobe consists of...
An oversized blazer, button-down blouse and blue washed straight jeans.
If I wasn't blogging, I would be...
A teacher, because my mom is a teacher - so it was my childhood dream.
