Beauty Notes: Fresh, Glowy Party Makeup

Loved the dewy look from our latest editorial? Our in-house hair and makeup expert Belle Iasenzaniro takes you through how to get this fresh, effortless look for your next event – because who said glam had to be overdone?

Step 1: Start by prepping skin with your favourite moisturiser. For extra plump and suppleness, massage in - this will stimulate circulation and give you a instant glow.

We love: Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream, Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion, Egyptian Magic Moisturiser

Step 2: With a long day (or night) ahead at your event, it's important to prime. Apply your primer using your fingertips - try using something with illuminating agents, as this will assist in making you look fab without looking like you tried too hard.

We love: MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance, Laura Mercier Radiance Primer, Clarins Beauty Flash Balm

Step 3: Apply a lightweight foundation and only conceal areas that need extra coverage. Try a tinted moisturiser to keep things fresh.

We love: MAC Studio Face and Body Foundation, Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser

Step 4: Use a loose powder to set your base and add longevity.

We love: Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder, Kat Von D Lock-It Setting Powder

Step 5: Add a little winged eyeliner for extra glam. Note to the rookies: you can always smudge it out to make it slightly smokey if you stuff it.

We love: Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner in black, MAC Liquid Eye Liner in Boot Black, e.l.f. Cream Eyeliner

Step 6: We are all about a rosy cheek. Apply a cream blush to the apple of your cheeks to add a healthy flush. We suggest a cream product as they keep your skin looking supple and dewy. If you have oily skin, opt for a powdered blush. And if you're feeling game, use on your lids too to add an overall warmth to your look.

We love: e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Blush in Rose Royalty, Laura Mercier Creme Cheek Colour in Sunrise, Tarte Cheek Stain in Glisten

Step 7: Finish with a lip stain or balm with some colour to keep lips looking soft and subtle.

We love: Becca Beach Tint, Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturising Lip Colour Balm, Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm
