Models Corner: Gigi Ringel
Meet Gigi (not, not that Gigi). Model, wanderlust inspirer, and occasional music video star Gigi Ringel brings an infectious laugh and vivacious energy to the studio; completely at home in an instant.
We chatted to the Dutch beauty on set for C/MEO COLLECTIVE's July collection, Effuse.
BNKR: Hi Gigi! How would you friends describe you?
Gigi: I think they would say that I'm pretty social - I like to dance [laughs]! It's so hard to be positive about yourself...creative as well.
If you're showing someone around your hometown, where do you take them first?
Well I'm living in this small town...in the east of Holland - there's not really much to do, but there's this amazing natural park, which has kind of like a desert and no one expects it, so I love going there for picnics.
How do you deal with long haul flights?
Well, I'm pretty good - I just click my fingers and fall asleep! And I'm mostly lucky and have three seats of my own as well so I can just sleep straight - it's great! I love long flights.
Gigi or Bella?
Gigi. Because she has the same name as me [laughs].
How does C/MEO COLLECTIVE make you feel?
It makes me feel really great and feminine - but still cool.
Which Netflix shows are you addicted to?
It's definitely Breaking Bad.
What's your favourite campaign you've ever worked on?
I think it was my first campaign here in Australia - Alice McCall. It was really cool - we went to the Blue Mountains...this amazing house with a swimming pool with two other girls and it was just a fun day.
What's your top beauty trick?
I think - and a lot of models say this - but olive oil. Because you can just use it as remover, and also in your hair. i also use it to shave my legs [laughs].
What's your ideal vacation spot?
Well, it's probably Barcelona, but since I came to Australia, this is kind of like a vacation as well, so I guess in Australia it's Byron Bay, which I really love.
