1 on 1: Christmas Album Swap
Christmas. You either love it or hate it. Chances are if you're a flat out grinch you probably aren't a fan of carols either. If this is you, not only do we feel sorry for you but compel you to stop reading. Turn back. Do not choose your own adventure.
At BNKR we are 100% pro-holiday season and what better way to celebrate than with a special Christmas edition of '1 on 1: Album Swap'.
BNKR in-house MUA + Social Media Manager Isabella Iasenzaniro and Junior Stylist + Styling Admin Coordinator Sophia Laparidis were the lucky ones chosen to share in that yule tide joy.
And you know what? They took to it like Santa to milk and cookies.
The Jackson 5 - The Christmas Album
Reviewed by: Isabella
Overall rating: 7.5/10
Sounds like: The one time I caught Mum wrapping my ‘Santa Present’ in the same wrapping paper as her own - I’m still very confused. She says she’s one of Santa’s helpers. How she finds the time, I have no idea.
Best Track: ‘I Saw Mummy Kissing Santa Claus’... I haven’t told Dad yet – I feel as though Mum will tell him when the time is right. I try to stay out of these things.
Worst Track: 'Frosty The Snowman' – we in Straya mate, no Snowmen here.
Pros: Michael Jackson, duh.
Cons: There's only 11 tracks – I’m Italian, that wouldn't even last past entrée on Christmas Day.
Album Artwork: Classic and subtly corny portraits of the five boys.
If this album were a Christmas food, what would it be? An advent calendar – it is like the gift that just keeps on giving.
Destiny’s Child - 8 Days of Christmas
Reviewed by: Sophia
Overall rating: 9.5/10
Sounds like: Forcing my two brothers to appreciate Destiny’s Child every Christmas while we open our presents.
Best track: Would have to be the title track ‘8 days’. I don’t know about you but a pair of Chloé shades and a diamond belly ring sound like great presents to me; okay, maybe just the Chloé shades…
Worst track: Sorry Michelle, its your solo track ‘O’Holy Night’ that just didn’t do it for me.
Pros: An RnB approach to some of the classics to make Christmas that bit more fun!
Cons: If anything, it would be that there is simply not enough Beyoncé.
Album Artwork: Classic Destiny’s Child; the slight variations on the same outfit, incredible throwback hair and Yoncé in the centre.
If this album were a Christmas food, what would it be? Fruit mince pie, oh so sweet with a hint of spice.
