Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

1 on 1: Album Swap

1 on 1: Album Swap

Your favourite album is a precious thing; like a baby. Easier to look after, but protected with equal ferocity and held just as close to your heart. Since we couldn't ask them to swap babies...we asked BNKR girls Isy (Customer Care & Garment Tech) and Ellen (Online Stock Manager) to swap and score each others' favourite albums.

Here's how it went down.

Volcano Choir – Repave

Reviewed by: Ellen

Overall rating: 7/10

Sounds like: The type of music I like to listen to when I travel. Inspiring and easy on the ears.

Best track:Acetate. One of the more upbeat songs on the album and I love the acoustic guitar.

Worst track: Alaskans. Parts of this song that are just a little too repetitive.

Pros: I could listen numerous times without getting bored.

Cons: Some songs could be a little too relaxing.

Album artwork: Fits with the mysterious mood of the album.

If this album was a Pokemon it would be…Squirtle! A water Pokemon so surely fits with this album.

TLC - CrazySexyCool

Overall Rating: 8/10

Sounds like: My childhood. My older sister had this album and played it A LOT!

Best track: It’s a tie. I can't chose between Diggin’ on you and Waterfalls (mainly just for the rap).

Worst track: Sumthin’ Wicked This Way Comes. I don’t feel much from this track.

Pros:R'n'B beats and strong melodies. Very easy to sing along to in the car (or at work).

Cons: A few too many spoken interludes (the background music is still pretty good though).

Album artwork: So '90s... But that’s why I love it!

If this album was a Pokemon it would be…Jigglypuff! Cute and can sing a good tune!
